In his NDTV review, movie critic Saibal Chatterjee stated, “Madgaon Specific is one rigmarole that by no means appears near overstaying its welcome, with even the post-climax scenes – they interrupt the tip credit in a novel, cockeyed vogue – springing a great deal of surprises and forcing the viewers to hold on till it’s all accomplished and dusted.”
