Prince William, who’s subsequent in line to the throne, has plans for the longer term which has appeared to place his cancer-stricken father, King Charles, comfortable.
The monarch was moved to tears as his eldest son made a poignant comment about his beloved property, the Duchy of Cornwall.
In clip from the ITV documentary, Prince Charles: Contained in the Duchy of Cornwall, William was seen speaking to the generational farmer Mervyn Keeling about the way forward for the property.
“I’ve began to consider how I’ll inherit the Duchy at some point and what I do with it. I believe it is actually vital, the household angle, I actually do,” William had mentioned.
Upon seeing the clip, Charles was visibly moved as he remarked, “After I noticed it, I couldn’t imagine it.”
He continued, “I used to be deeply touched and moved by what he mentioned. Frankly, it lowered me to tears. It did, actually. As a result of, I abruptly thought, properly, simply listening to that from him has made the final 50 years worthwhile.”
William has taken cost of the property after changing into the Duke of Cornwall, and has already began planning for it.
Again in February, William introduced plans to construct properties on Duchy of Cornwall land to sort out homelessness within the South West of England.
