Prince William seemingly shocked the Queen together with his sudden choice to announce engagement with Kate Middleton.
The Prince of Wales, who had dated Kate eight years earlier than the couple tied the knot in 2011, made a hasty choice of sharing the large information with the media in an try and oust them.
Roy creator Katie Nicholl reveals that the Queen was “thrilled to obtain William’s name, albeit slightly shocked on the suddenness of the announcement”
Nicholl defined “William loved outfoxing the media, and this was one announcement he wished to make himself. The very last thing he wished was a newspaper getting the inside track, as had occurred together with his father’s engagement to Camilla.”
Prince William and Kate are dad and mom to Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The couple tied the knot in 2011 at Westminster Abbey after a decade of courting. In September 2023, the husband and spouse had been bestowed that titles of Prince and Princess of Wales after the dying of Queen Elizabeth II.
