Ice Spice is all set to make her appearing debut in Spike Lee’s Excessive and Low reverse Denzel Washington.

Selection reported that Spice goes to star in upcoming English-language reinterpretation of the Akira Kurosawa crime thriller Excessive and Low, which was based mostly on the Ed McBain novel King’s Ransom.

To notice, this new film would mark Lee fifth film with the two-time Oscar winner, Washington.

Earlier in January, chatting with TODAY, Spice opened up about her debut album, saying, “Sure, there’s going to be an album this 12 months.”

The rapper revealed that it will be out “this 12 months” in addition to the title.

“I’m so excited. It’s known as Y2K,” she mentioned.

Spice added, “It’s virtually completed, so I’m actually excited.”

Reflecting on her story behind the album title Y2K, Spice disclosed she had a particular connection to Y2K itself.

“I used to be [born on Y2K] and that’s why I made a decision to call it that,” she said.

In the meantime, Spice was nominated for her first-ever Grammys this 12 months, together with the coveted greatest new artist award.

She earned three different nominations together with greatest pop/group duo efficiency for collaborating with Taylor Swift on the Karma remix, greatest rap tune and greatest tune written for visible media for her collaboration with Nicki Minaj for Barbie soundtrack, Barbie World.
