Lahore: The powers of the Director Basic of Anti-Corruption have been restricted


Caretaker Punjab Authorities has restricted the powers of Director Basic Anti-Corruption, after the approval of Punjab Governor, Legislation Division has issued a gazette notification.

Anti-corruption has to take permission from the involved authority earlier than submitting a case towards authorities staff.

In keeping with the gazette notification of the Punjab Legislation Division, the individual making the criticism towards the general public servants will first be enquired, after which the permission of the competent authority should be taken to file a case towards the general public servant.

In keeping with the notification, for a case towards a civil servant of grade 1 to 16, permission should be obtained from his superior officer, permission for a case towards a authorities servant of grade 17 will probably be given by the involved secretary, whereas permission for a case towards an officer of grade 18 and 19 will probably be given. It must be taken from the Further Chief Secretary.

Earlier than submitting a case towards the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner and Grade 20 officer, permission should be taken from the Chief Secretary. Permission can even be taken from the heads of the related departments for the arrests of public servants. A committee can even be fashioned.
