4 Emirati troopers and one Bahraini soldier had been killed in an assault on a navy base by extremists in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.
In response to Somali officers, Emirati and Bahraini troopers had been on a coaching mission for Somali troopers. The lifeless our bodies of the Emirati troopers have been delivered to the United Arab Emirates.
Al-Shabaab has claimed accountability for the assault. Somali President Hassan Sheikh has expressed his condolences to the United Arab Emirates.
In the meantime, Pakistan has strongly condemned the terrorist assault in Somalia and expressed condolences to the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain for the martyrdom of the troopers.
